ABOUT BC

Broken Chains started out in the Fall of 2000 as a small, two-piece ensemble in the bedroom of Mike Bright's home.  He and his good friend Corky McGuire began playing and singing together in small area churches with just two acoustic guitars and their voices.  Their first gig ever performed was at a local church during their revival.  Their debut song was "I'm Going Home" by Hank Williams.

Shortly after, the group's first woman vocalist, Melissa Coble joined them adding a harmony voice.  The trio had their first performance in Fall of 2001, at the local county fair.  In early 2005, Artie Neese joined as Broken Chain's drummer, while also adding a lead vocal to the group. Towards the end of the year, the band's bassist Todd Fogleman joined, adding another lead voice to the group's dynamic sound.

In 2006, during a 3-month span from September to November, God greatly blessed Broken Chains by allowing them to minister to seven different churches and a local festival.  On average any time before, they had never played more than once a month, often with several months between gigs.  Thanks to much prayer, they learned that God rewards the faithful!

In September of the following year, Broken Chains began recording their first CD entitled "Jesus Plus Nothing". Over the next few years, a few complications arose, and after much prayer - the band's new keyboardist Pam Crutchfield joined adding a second female harmony and occasional lead vocal. At the same time, Broken Chains took a leap of faith and purchased an entirely new sound system that was adequite to meet the needs of the band.

In mid 2011, audio engineer Josh Beaddles joined Broken Chains as their sound-man, while occasionally providing an extra keyboard voice during songs.  Within the next year, Broken Chains finalized their CD and had it produced!  Since then, they have played at various churches, fundraisers, and events sharing the Gospel through worship and songs of praise.  They are always open to possible bookings.
